LDA urges to form polls-time government immediately

Left Democratic Alliance (LDA) has demonstrated in front of the government secretariat on 14th October protesting Awami misrule and plundering and demanded free, fair and acceptable election under polls-time government to oversee the election. Despite of police attack, LDA leaders and activists continued their protest.
Before the demonstration, LDA held a gathering in front of the national press club presiding by LDA coordinator Saiful Huq. SPB leader Khalequzzaman Lepon conducted the gathering.
Saiful Huq said, "From the experiences of last 47 years, we learnt that no fair and neutral election is possible under any political party. People will not accept any election like 5th January, 2014. LDA will not let the government to hold such type of election."
He added, "Before the declaration of the election schedule, the parliament must be dissolved and the government must resigned. The present Election Commission must be reformed and the whole election system must be reformed radically."
He also declared for nationwide mass gathering on 23rd October and to submit memorandum to the President on 29th October.
CPB General Secretary Md. Shah Alam said, "Ruling Grand Alliance has taken the power through a controversial one-sided election of 5th January, 2014. The rulers are snatching the democratic right of people to strengthen their power. The government is standing on killing, abduction, physical and mental repression."
He urged to strengthen left and democratic force against the misrule looting.
SPB leader Bazlur Rashid Firoz, Ganasamhati Anodolon's Chief coordinator Zonayed Saki, SPB (Marxist) leader Fakhruddin Kabir Atik, United Communist League general secretary Mosharraf Hossain Nannu, Ganatantrik Biplabi Party general secretary Moshrefa Mishu also spoke at the gathering.
LDA leaders condemned the government for the ongoing corruption, looting and terrorism. They urged to cancel digital security act. They also demanded to the government to free LDA leaders of Satkhira immediately.
Some activists have been injured during police attacked on the demonstration.
