Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) on 16th March 2019 strongly protested the massacre at Christchurch in New Zealand and expressed deep condemnation for the attack. In a statement to the press CPB President Mujahidul Islam Selim and General Secretary Shah Alam said that this is an attack on world humanity. "Religious antagonism and ethnic violence have been rising due to the instigation from imperialists and their lackeys". Referring recent extremist attacks carried out several parts of the world that left many lives CPB leader said,"due to the spread of arms businesses, the religious extremists can easily manage arms resulting those heinous attacks". In this existing imperialist system, not only the discrimination among people are raising but also people are being scattered from their human values, they added.. They also said capitalist political parties in the world are trying to grab the power by taking the advantage from extremist groups. They also said the present political situation in the world is responsible for this recent extremist attacks. "The imperialists are spreading extremism in the least developing countries to satisfy their interest". CPB leaders said that by taking the pretext of terrorist attacks, the imperialists are trying to intervene the internal politics of many countries in many ways. "The weapon which is the outcome of imperialism are not free from their arms", stated the statement. New Zealand which is known as a peaceful country has come under the evil eyes of extremist groups, the statement said. CPB in their statement expressed deep condolences for the shooting victims and their families and called upon the people to accelerate the struggle against imperialism and extremism.
